Easy Hollywood Party Theme Ideas

In order to throw a Hollywood party theme, one of the first things you need to do is decide upon exactly the kind of theme you are going for. You could have an open theme or you could further break it down into movies, actors or even an Oscars ceremony.

It is important though that which ever you decide to go for, you have to single mindedly create that one theme, excluding all other themes for it to be effective.

For your Hollywood party theme invitations, get some cardboard and cut out some Oscar statues. Address your invitations to the VIP.

The costumes will be dependant upon which sub theme you have gone for. Your guests will be dressing up as famous movie characters, or if you’re hosting an Oscars party, it will be a black tie event with the ladies wearing their very best red or black cocktail dress.

You should have an award for the best and worst outfit. Make sure you have some Oscar statues to give away for this.

Have a red carpet leading up to your front door. When inside, greet your guests in front of a Hollywood backdrop where a photographer takes a glamour shot of your guests.

Get some props for your Hollywood party theme such as; movie posters, props such as a Walther PPK, Oscar statues, a directors chair and famous street signs such as Broadway, Hollywood Boulevard and of course the famous Hollywood sign.

For your music, you could play the soundtrack from your favourite movie. Otherwise consider classics such as Stardust and Singing in the Rain.

For food, simple finger buffet food will suffice. Though hiring a waiter will add a touch of class to the event.

The obvious choice of drink for your Hollywood “A listers” would be champagne. Place bottles in coolers around the room and near some of your props. Your waiter could also serve the drinks.
